New Principal Announced

Dear Saint Leo Catholic School families,
It is my pleasure to inform you that Mrs. Kathleen Nance has been selected to serve as the next principal of Saint Leo Catholic School. As I shared with you, our collaborative selection process with our diocesan Catholic Schools' staff, and representatives from our school board, faculty, and parish, was thoughtful and thorough. While we were blessed with other qualified candidates, the full breadth of Mrs. Nance's professional experiences, her considerable educational skill set and passion for Catholic education proved to be an excellent choice for our school.
Following 13 years of Catholic education, Mrs. Nance earned her Bachelor of Arts from High Point University and a Masters of School Administration from Appalachian State University. She comes to us with IO years of educational leadership experience and 8 years of teaching experience at the elementary and middle school levels. In addition, Mrs. Nance was selected to
be the Founding Director of Education and Programs at the Nido and Mariana Qubein Children's Museum.
Mrs. Nance has enjoyed excellent leadership opportunities and demonstrated proficiency in technology, curriculum development and teacher support. She is recognized by her colleagues as a problem solver, listener, and an effective, transparent communicator.
Mrs. Nance, her husband and two daughters, are active parishioners at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point.
