St. Theresa Guild
Welcome to St. Theresa Guild! The Guild is a parish women’s organization whose objective is to further the spiritual, social, and financial welfare of St. Leo’s Parish and to represent the parish in the Winston-Salem community. All women members of the parish are invited to join. Dues are $10 per year. The Guild sponsors social, education, and spiritual events, fundraisers, and community service projects. Through fundraising, the Guild provides many items for the Church such as the baptismal font, altar linens, organ repairs, the exterior sign, and the tabernacle. It also provides funds for community service organizations and for needs identified by the pastor.
St. Theresa Guild meets the third Monday of each month September through May with the exception of December and January. In January the meeting is the second Monday of the month and in December the monthly chairperson determines the date. Highlights of the year include the St. Therese Feast Day Communion Breakfast following 9 a.m. Mass, the Fall Bake Sale, the Christmas Party in December, the Lenten Day of Reflection, and the Living Rosary in May. Monthly meetings are always social, offering good food and fellowship and in addition may be educational or service oriented. Programs vary from year to year depending on the interests of the members and the needs of the parish and community.
If you would like to become a member of the Guild, please note the time and date of the upcoming meeting as announced in the weekly parish bulletin, and join us for the next meeting. You can also call the co-presidents, Kathy Bryan (924-6462) or Chris Say (768-9090) for more information. We look forward to having you join the Guild!
